Some places and some chefs are just above any comments… And what about when you have both combined? The Sunday Brunch at the Hotel Plaza Athénée in Paris, mastered by the super stared chef Alain Ducasse is to die for… First… It is affordable… Not cheap… Second, it is delicious… Last, it is unforgettable… The place is just amazing… I have already written a few lines about this brunch, but further to requests, I decided to dedicate a full post to it… The hotel is a Parisian Institution, one of the few to have the Palace nomination, which is the… Read more

Arabesque – The world of The Thousand and One Nights

Apr 7, 2017 by Valentina Voos 2 Comments
Not every day we have the opportunity to step back in time….  to step back thousands of years to the magical world of the thousand and one nights… I am very gourmand as the French says… meaning that when it comes to food… I cannot resist the temptation… so, the invitation to the Arabesque restaurant at the Hotel President Wilson was a wonderful opportunity  to delight myself with the best of the Lebanese cuisine… The Hotel does not need to be introduced… as it is a landmark in Geneva.  A magnificent building facing the lake… A super place to enjoy… Read more

Easter time…

Apr 3, 2017 by Valentina Voos No Comments
Less two weeks to go… I started decorating the house for such a special moment…  Not many of us know the history behind the Easter bunny and the Easter Eggs… For centuries the eggs were and are associated to Christ’s rebirth… the resurrection… The new life that is born out of the shell…. they were real eggs which were painted and decorated… a prestigious and precious gift in symbol of life and fertility. The bunny’s association to it come out of the German pagan history prior to when the catholic church dominated the German territory in the middle ages…  The… Read more

Some evenings leave a lasting impression not becau Some evenings leave a lasting impression not because of their spectacle, but because of the rare authenticity they embody. Our private dinner at the @jaegerlecoultre boutique was one of those moments — an intimate encounter between exceptional gastronomy, meaningful conversation, and the timeless artistry of haute horlogerie. Around the table, guests were invited to experience the refined creativity of two-star Michelin chef @gillesvarone , while also discovering the extraordinary heritage and savoir-faire of Jaeger-LeCoultre, rightly known as the watchmaker of watchmakers. The evening was further elevated by the presence of @nadia_stylestrategy , who offered guests a fascinating exploration of colorimetry, revealing the tones and nuances that best enhance each individual’s natural elegance. In a world increasingly driven by immediacy, there is something profoundly inspiring about bringing together craftsmanship, beauty, and human expertise in such a thoughtful and intimate way. I left the evening deeply grateful and immensely proud to be part of the Jaeger-LeCoultre family and to share in a vision of luxury rooted not in excess, but in excellence, culture, and enduring savoir-faire.
Thanks to all that came and joined me that evening!

Life can be extraordinarily unexpected. I was not Life can be extraordinarily unexpected.

I was not raised around fame or cinema. My world was a different one entirely.
Which is perhaps why this moment at the opening ceremony of the 79th Cannes Film Festival felt so emotional: not impossible, simply improbable.

Thank you to those who opened doors, believed in me, and walked part of this path with me!
