Sunday Brunch 5 – Hotel de la Paix – Geneva

Brunches are more and more popular nowadays.. Popular in the sense that you see them popping up pretty much everywhere… Hotels, coffee shops, even established restaurants are competing for our Sunday mornings with delicious and yummy food…

Well well well… The Hotel de la Paix in Geneva offers a Non a cliché type of brunch…

Served in the recently refurbished bar / restaurant… “The Living Room”… The brunch is an invitation to have a good time… You kind of feel in your own living room…

First the place is brand new… There are just the right number of tables… Stylish and Elegant… Spacious and comfortable…. You can have a conversation without feeling overheard or even disturbed…

I took my kids with me and every time I do that I fear to bother other clients as they are small and noisy… Well, they were quickly welcomed by the staff, with kids coloring books and pencils… Also fresh juices and bread were provided so that they would keep their hands and mouths occupied… Oh.. Peace and quiet…!!!!

As I mentioned… No buffets… The brunch is served a la carte in 3 different formulas which you can mix and match depending on your appetite and budget… it is also served on Saturdays, convenient for that shopping day!

We went for the full blow, starter, main and desert… Of course with Champagne…

Sundays and champagne are synonyms in my dictionary!

I started with Musli and strawberries… I love Musli and the presentation was incredible… The flavors… Perfect… Crunch and sweet without too much sugar…

Then, my favorite… Eggs Benedict… WOW…. Just perfect!!! The sauce was just exactly what I had expected… The egg cooked as it should be… TOP, TOP!

For the kids… The brunch offers fun food… Burgers, nuggets, pizza, club sandwich, pasta… You can choose… Fresh fruits and juices… And of course… Ice cream! My kids were delighted with the service… and mummy here was very happy too…

Desert time!!! Fondue au Chocolate… Strawberries and bananas sliced with melted chocolate! In heaven… I was in heaven….

The beauty of a la carte menu is that you eat what you really like… but it also gives you the opportunity to return and try new things… I still think of the pancakes choice, which I did not take this time…
