Cape Town
I feel home!!! The sun, the sea and the city reminds me so much from home…. The laid back vibe is also so similar… Shorts, t -shirts, light dresses and havaianas… Does that ring the bell???? It is Cape town for you…
It is a spetacular city to visit with a lot to see and to do… Surrounded by the water and the table mountain, very few cities could compete…
Talking about Table Mountain, you cannot miss it! It rules the city, on one side the see, with Bantry Bay, The waterfront, Clifton beach, and the 12 apostoles and on the other side the vineyards of Constantia, the Kirstenbosch botanic garden…
Cape Town surprises with the amount of cool places to eat… Hosting the best restaurants in the world, I failed to get seats… You need to book 5 months in advance… Test Kitchen, The Pot Luck, La Colombe, are some of the names… Managed to go to Nobu at the One and Only, and to Willoughby & Co at the Waterfront… Cafe Caprice at Bantry beach is a must place to have drink and see beautiful people….

Wine is also a must have in Cape Town… the Cape reagion is a famous producer of delicious wines… Do Not Miss it!
An optimum Cape Town visit would include a day at the beach , a hiking experience around Table Mountain, or to go up to Table Mountain by Cable car…the view is just breathtaking… For those who like history, a visit of Robben Island is strongly recommenced… Island prison where Nelson Mandela stayed for more than 20 years…
A visit to Constantia Wineyards for some wine tasting… A visit to the Kirstenbosch botanic garden, to see the Protea Flowers ( unique in the Cape region)… A shopping experience at the Waterfront… And if budget allows, a 1/2 day spa splurge at the one & only spa…. ( I will write s full post about the spa experience tomorrow).
There is plenty of accomodation for all budgets…. The South African currency has been devaluating rapidly which makes tourism there quite affordable. Some recomendations for you, the One and Only hotel at the Waterfront is marvelous. The 12 apostoles has a splendid view, and for those who would like to feel the colonial atmosfere of the city, the boutique hotel called the Cellars Hohenort… A gem!
Worth a quick note is the african art… In the waterfront there is so many interesting things to see… I really liked the pottery of pottersworkshop.
Check out their pieces on www. Pottersworkshop.co.za
For greater budgets, the pieces of Ardmore are unique pieces of art… Absolute collectibles… Some pictures for you and check them out on www.ardmoreceramics.co.za
Enjoy the pictures and feel the vibe! Happy to hear your comments!
Na losta pra visitas, ja quero spa tbm!
