We are definitely back to the 2000’s… Low profile??? It is over!!! Discret??? It is way over!!!! Classic??? Quite over too!!! Not only the saddle bag is back but also ostentation… The bigger the merrier… The flashier  the merrier… The more bling bling the merrier… Moschino dared to bring it back… but the trend is now ratified by the uber classic brands such as Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Fendi and Dior… It is now allowed to show it off… to scream it out loud… FENDI GUCCI CHANEL DIOR Louis Vuitton Click, click, click… post, post, post… It is instagramable!!! Spring Summer 2019 Fashion week…. my highlights

Sep 29, 2018 by Valentina Voos No Comments
Paris is still on… but diversity was and is the word that describes the trend… Whereas in politics we seem to be going backwards… in fashion we are clearly advocating for more equality and respect…. Each of the 4 Cities had its major trends… and I will below tell you what I liked most from each of the them… New York I am a Disney fan… and I loved to see the Villains in the Catwalk when the Blonds collaborated with Disney…. I thought immediately of my sister and her Villains dolls Paris Hilton as Cruella… it was quite something… Read more

Top Investment bags

Jul 6, 2017 by Valentina Voos 3 Comments
Who does not wish to combine fashion with a good investment? Did you know that pretty much all of the below bags have been a better investment than any other investment… stock market, property, bonds…? Yes, you read it right… with the below you do not lose money… actually, their prices increase every year and it is likely that you will sell your bag more expensive than you actually bought it. Loads of sites such Vestiaire Collective, Instant Luxe, the Real Real or Re-see, sell icon items for higher prices than in the shops… if you could find them in… Read more

When I am back at my roots… My visit to the Tem When I am back at my roots…

My visit to the Temple of Yemanjá in Salvador da Bahia was an encounter rooted in identity. As a daughter of Yemanjá, I did not arrive as a guest — I arrived in a place that already belonged to me. The connection was immediate, grounded, and deeply present.

Yemanjá, the great Mother of the waters, is far more than a symbol in Brazilian culture. She is origin, protection, fertility, and care. In Brazil, her image was shaped by the encounter of African traditions with colonial history — often represented in white and blue, blending African spirituality with Catholic iconography as a way for enslaved peoples to preserve their faith. Yet beneath every statue and celebration lives her true nature: an African deity of immense power, rooted in Yoruba cosmology, mother of many Orixás, guardian of life and emotion.
Her presence runs through the veins of Brazilian culture — in the sea offerings of February 2nd, in songs, prayers, and the quiet respect people hold for the ocean. Yemanjá reminds Brazil of its African soul. She is proof that African spirituality did not just survive here — it shaped the country’s identity.
To stand in her temple, in Bahia — the heart of Afro-Brazilian resistance and memory — is to feel how deeply Africa lives in Brazil. Yemanjá is water, but she is also memory. She carries the stories of those who crossed the ocean in pain and transformed it into devotion, culture, and strength.
Leaving the temple, I felt held. Claimed. Reminded of who I am and where I come from. Being a daughter of Yemanjá is knowing that no matter where I go, the sea walks with me — guiding, cleansing, and calling me back home.

Odoyá, minha mãe.

Before I left on holidays, I had a moment of quiet Before I left on holidays, I had a moment of quiet elegance at the Jaeger-LeCoultre boutique.

From the iconic lines of the Reverso to the depth of its heritage, every detail tells a story shaped by time, craftsmanship and refinement. Set within a warm Christmas atmosphere, this visit felt both intimate and inspiring.

Just the beginning — more stories and meaningful moments with @jaegerlecoultre to come in 2026. Stay tuned…

I just landed in Salvador, and the trip opened lik I just landed in Salvador, and the trip opened like a scene from a glamorous telenovela: at the Farol da Barra, a radiant @baianadofarol nearly stole my husband with a single ancestral glance — I laughed, held my ground, and applauded the drama.
😉
Between the sacred beauty of the Church of Senhor do Bonfim, the vibrant soul of Pelourinho, and the elegance of the Baianas, Salvador breathes history and power. As Brazil’s first capital, the city is faith, rhythm, and sophistication woven into every corner.
Salvador, I’ve arrived — and I arrived glowing.
