Lucky me…
Lucky me…
Lucky me…
Just before Christmas I plunged into the wonderful world of La Mer….
Prestigious and exclusive, the Spa La Mer at the President Wilson hotel in Geneva is a hidden gem…
When I say it is a hidden gem, I mean it… not many people are aware that such a prestigious brand has an exclusive spa in Geneva, one, out of 8 few spas in the whole world…
I, myself, did not know and I had passed in front of its doors many times.
The history of La Mer explains the exclusivity… The main formula which turned to be Crème de la Mer , was not created to be commercialised but to be used by its creator, Dr. Max Huber, after a serious accident which left him many face scars.
Dr. Max Huber was convinced that his healing would come from the sea and after thousands of experiments, he created the formula of the Miracle Broth TM, which later became the main component of all La Mer products. A nutrient rich principle which transforms the skin, by making it softer, firmer and younger.
Time has passed and due to the results of the Miracle Broth TM, La Mer became one of the most successful cosmetics brands in the world.
My experience in the spa was nothing but outstanding… First the hotel has dedicated an exclusive area for it where guests only have access if accompanied by one of the beauticians. It is not a Spa in the sense of swimming pool, hammam and etc, but a center for facial and body treatments.
To be even more accurate, La Mer does have some body treatments, but its main expertise is the face.
Returning to my own experience at the spa, the beautician initially asked me some questions to find out what I was doing to look after my face skin… once she established the type of skin I had and what I could and could not do, she moved into the action…
45 minutes of delight…
It would be difficult to put into words… she used several products… I felt different sensations as and when different cream and lotions were dancing through my face… but the end result was of freshness and softness.
My skin is quite tricky, as I still have acne despite my age… but as I touched my skin I had this velvet sensation that I normally dont have when I use other products…
To finalise my experience, I was taken to a rest lounge where I sipped some champagne and learned more about the benefits of the brand.
A 5 stars treatment from beginning to the end…
This hidden gem can also be yours… As I said there are 8 spas in the world, out of it, 4 in Europe – 2 in France, 1 in Italy and 1 in Switzerland…
Now that I learned my way, I can see myself becoming a regular..
