Spring Summer 2019 Fashion week…. my highlights

Paris is still on… but diversity was and is the word that describes the trend… Whereas in politics we seem to be going backwards… in fashion we are clearly advocating for more equality and respect….

Each of the 4 Cities had its major trends… and I will below tell you what I liked most from each of the them…

New York

I am a Disney fan… and I loved to see the Villains in the Catwalk when the Blonds collaborated with Disney…. I thought immediately of my sister and her Villains dolls

Paris Hilton as Cruella… it was quite something to see.

Jokes aside… I loved the yellow dress of Christian Siriano… Seriously… it is a stunning piece of Haute Couture….

Yellow is one of my favorite colours when it comes to night dresses… I adore the light and vibe that the colour brings to any venue… and this one would be a dream piece to wear.

New York also had a great highlight that was Rihanna, fenty  X savage lingerie collection… No discussion that Rihanna is a great singer… but sometimes celebrities and successful people try to adventure in other careers such as fashion design, without much success, I must say… Well, Rihanna is an exception to the rule… Not always I like what she wears but so far her fashion colaborations have proved to be quite interesting and the lingerie was sexy and feminine…

Lets cross the Atlantic and go to LONDON...

I love LFW… I have done one personally and I confess I want to go back… maybe next year…

Loads of interesting things happened there this time…

Ricardo Tisch first show at Burberry… I hated the logo change… Burberry is Britain… Britain is heritage… so one just does not blow away its heritage for nothing.. a long shot from the brand which in my opinion it has everything to go wrong… remain to be seen…. the show, though, it was nice… some nice fresh air to the design… I love the new trench style… it made me want to have another one….

Victoria Beckham is celebrating 10 years of success, despite all the odds… ah yes, the ex spice girl has proved to be a better fashion designer than ever a singer… Love her style and taste…

I had a total love at first sight with this red dress…

Temperley London is the brand for the girliest of the girls… dresses are usually sophisticated, chique and extremely feminine…. this collection could not be different… I want them all… the brand is quite famous for its bridal collection… and if I was to be a bride again, although unlikely, I would definitely consider…

The below dress just blow my mind away.

Going south… MILAN is all about sparkles and glitter… Dolce and Gabanna, Fendi, Gucci, Missoni, Prada and Armani were just spectacular… Only the Italians know the true meaning of making an appearance… whereas the British are quite low profile with the shows… boarder line on a budget… the Italians blow all resources at one go… and when on thinks they have extinguished it all… They surprise the world with their creativity and geniality.

Gucci this season has not blown my mind… I still think Alessandro Michaele is a genius and Gucci is at the moment, the trendiest brand of all… but this season only one handbag has inspired me… not that I would buy, but it could be my lunch box… actually… I may have one from my trips to Disney…

Missoni did a great show and left behind a bit of its trend mark zigzag…

But my heart is with… Fendi….

The 2019 collection is made for real women… it is to be functional… for women like me who gets up at 6 am, takes the kids to school, go to work, go to the gym and then has no time to go home to go changing before goes out for dinner… it is for the urban women… it is for me… and for you too…

Now lets go to the fashion Mecca – PARIS

As I write Hermes is showing its 2019 collection… Chanel is still to come… maybe it is premature to say but I doubt I will love their collections more than I have loved the new DIOR one….

OMG… I was mesmerized… Maria Grazia Chiuri is the walking woman of creativity… DIOR has always been a top notch brand but now, it has made the podium… Since Galliano, the brand has not received so much appreciation and the beauty of it is that is receiving for all the good reasons… it is modern, it is beautiful, it is chique and it is glamourous…

The idea to reborn the saddle bag was genius… it has become the it bag instantly and the spring summer collection is to die for… BRAVO!
