Golden Globe Awards – my comments
The red carpet season for 2017 has started… Last Sunday the Golden Globe Awards, one of the most prestigious awards in the Cinema and TV industry has somewhat confirmed tendencies and expectations… At least mine…
You that have been following this blog will probably remember that I have commented on some trends which could be seen and confirmed last Sunday…
The first one is the color! Yellow is the new black. Do you remember when I wrote about it back in May at the comments on the Cannes Festival?
Actresses have predominantly chosen this color for this event. In my opinion it was a great choice, as the dresses valued and brightened their appearances. I select some of my favorites and invite you to let me know your thoughts… You may agree that it is the color of the trend and for spring /summer we must have a yellow dress to wear…
Another big confirmation was the winning of best TV series for the Crown. Back in November I wrote about this production…. I was probably not the only one to recognize that it is impeccable and deserves the time, especially if you like entertainment with a historical context. The actress who acts as the Queen is outstanding and was the winner of the night. Again I invite to read my post about it… If you have not watched The Crown, I think you should…
As much as I like to bring all trends to you, sometimes my crystal ball sometimes is not quick enough… Well, I wish I had commented on La La Land… But I have not seen it yet…. It was the film winner of the night… I will see and if I find it deserves the comment on a post, I will come back to you on it…
A final word on the Queen of the night… Meryl Streep! Thank you… you deserve my humble applause…
In the next days I write about a TV series which has just been released, the Designated survivor… All I say for today that it gives a hint on how complicate things can be from the 20th January onward! Meryl has simply given us the key to it… free and independent press… Further comments to follow!
