Sleeping like a Queen – Hotel D’Angleterre

The Crown is back…. Elizabeth II is the Queen, but more than that, she has been the longest influential woman of all times…

Inspired by her and watching the Crown, I spent the night in the iconic Hotel d’Angleterre in Geneva…

Pure delight!!!

The hotel is what you would expect for a English luxurious hotel… Loads of tapestry, wall paper, portraits and crystal chandeliers.

Talking about crystal chandeliers, I had an amazing, enormous one on top of my bed… OMG, beautiful… A Royal piece…

Royal was also the treatment the hotel gave to us… Champagne, muffins, nuts and candle lights… All very romantic…

Hard to leave the room but it would be a pity if we didn’t as the hotel has a great restaurant called Windows, which is an English conservatory overseeing the lake. Great for high tea and brunches… All about the brunch will come in a separate post.

For a drink the Leopard bar is very cosy and as the name says decorated in full Leopard style.

All good but my favorite place in the hotel is the Cigar room… I just love that place… I used to smoke cigars more constantly when I was younger… With age the habit decreased but sometimes I enjoy the beauty of a full Romeo & Juliett… Perfect place for that kind of sin…

Ohhhh…. In terms of sin… I won’t get in details but Sunday morning was great to lay in that super confy bed…watch a few episodes of the Crown, feel like a Queen and forget the world outside of those walls…
