Spa Junkie 3 – Hot Stone Massage at Westin Grand Hotel in Frankfurt

I needed desperately a massage and Emotion Spa the Westin Grand Hotel is not normally my first choice but as it was a last minute decision, my regular option was not available…

I wanted a hot stone massage… introduced to it a few years ago as a gift from my husband I love the hot stone contact with my skin…

The emotion spa is located at the 6th floor of the Westin Grand Hotel in Frankfurt. The hotel is a business like hotel and the spa is supposed to be good and has won quite a few prizes.

I am used to spas with large spaces and large cabins and here it was different… to be fair, when one is in the massage bed one should be not concerned about the size of the cabin, but only concerned with the quality of the treatment… however, I kind of found the cabins too small, almost claustrophobic…

The vestiaire was also very small… and it was packed… women everywhere… I felt at high school gym… It was a rainning Saturday afternoon… no confort to get changed… one shower… loads of women… no cool…

The massage in itself was terrific… very well done and relaxing… a bit different from other hot stone massages I have done… especially when the stones are places in between the toes… I did not expected it and jumped! Apart from my own shock… which was not unpleasant but unexpected… I felt that my stress and tension was put away…

So I achieved my goal which was to relax but immediately stressed to go back to the changing room and have to fight for espace…

The hotel has a swimming pool on the 6th floor too… croweded and full of splash, splash, splash!

Not an unplesant experience but I will back to my regular option
