Princess, Palace, Beauty, Dream?

Yes, all of the above!!!

Well, I will tell you I had a Cinderella day at the Hotel Mandarin Oriental in Geneva.

My birthday… the most special day of the year… I spent it as a Princess at the Mandarin Hotel in Geneva.

The hotel is a magnificent property in front of the river Rhone…

At check in I was totally surprised to be escorted to  the 6th floor… private elevator, long corridor to the Royal Mandarin Suite….

As we crossed the double wooden door… our mouths fell out open… the sitting room was just huge and magnificent… we could fit easily 50 people in that room and it was only the 4 of us…

I lost count on the number of flower bouquets around the room… The fruit bowl was an invitation to indulgence… chocolates, dried fruits and nuts completed the welcome delights we encountered when we arrived…

As we entered, we discovered two adjacent bedrooms… one, totally decorated to welcome my kids, chocolates, soft toys, puzzles and board games… my kids were over the moon!!!

My ” bedroom”, at least for the night was a dream … super king bed… the four of us would sleep in the bed without a problem, large bathroom and a dressing room that made me wonder how to take it home…

Needless to say, the hotel is super luxurious and this suite is the creme de la creme…

I splurged myself at the bath on the Bottega Veneta amenities… with a champagne glass, of course… when then occurred to me that it was my birthday and I had a whole hotel ready to make my dreams come true…

A couple of phone calls and room service was organizing a mini cocktail reception for a few friends to come and enjoy the place…

A couple of hours later as they came in  I knew that birthday was going to be unforgettable…      I was having a true Cinderella day…

The hotel delivered much more than I had expected… my guests were in love with it all, place, hospitality, quality and taste of the delicacies the hotel prepared for us…

Time passed very quickly and I soon realized my birthday was about to finish… but I was going to continue to be Cinderela… at least until the next morning at check out…
