Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues
Overlooking lake Geneva… in front of the famous Mont Blanc bridge, the Hotel de Bergues is a landmark…
Fabulous… the hotel attracts locals and tourists due to its beauty and high quality service…
As you come to the hotel you are immediately impressed by the reception… The flower decoration is breathtaking… The delicate choice of arrangements make you forget the buzz of the city you just left behind.
The hotel is not big… 115 rooms and suites altogether… you feel you are in a mini palace!
3 restaurants, of which the sushi on the rooftop has a stunning view of town… A perfect place for dinner in the summer… In the winter, the restaurant is only open indoors but it is a MUST place to go too! Reserve in advance, they are always fully booked!
This year I was super fortunate to spend my wedding anniversary at the hotel. It was a magic experience… When coming to the suite we were mesmerised to see what the hotel staff had prepared for us… Champagne, strawberries, chocolates, mini fours, balloons… All to make us feel welcome and special… Thank you… We did feel very special…
The suite in itself is extremely comfortable and luxurious! Everything is very well thought of and we miss no comfort… Even a fireplace we had in the suite… Not to mention our own steam bath…with Bulgari amenities…
We chose to order room service as it was our wish to spend most of the time together, only the two of us… Food was delicious, served in fine porcelain and silver cutlery!
A visit to the spa was also in the agenda… We had a couple’s treatment, which will be subject to a unique post… A wonderful intimate time together…
On the top floor, the hotel also has a modern gym and a indoor swimming pool… A Oasis of tranquility to pump all yous senses… We spent a lot of time floting at the pool immersed in each other’s company.
After a divine night of sleep, it was hard to make the decision to go down for breakfast… We still had a few hours before having to go back to real life… So, we decide to stop being anti-social and mingle with the other guests… Breakfast is served at the ground floor at the premises of the Italian restaurant… Sofas, tapestry and wall paintings give the background of a very diversified buffet that offers French and Swiss delicacies… The white eggs omelette is to die for…
After all this… It was quite sad to pack and go home… But as my husband say… It always good to leave at the peak of the moment so that the only memory you have is how good it was…
It was not only good! It was wonderful! You should try it too!
