English countryside
What about a bucolic time with fabulous people, full of excitement and long delicious meals???
The English countryside can offer you this and much more. You do not really need to have region in mind, as everywhere you go, you will find amazing pubs, excellent accomodation and exquisite entertainment.
For us, bling bling beings, a hotel spa is the best choice. Fully decorated in the best of the English countryside style…with matched bed linen, curtains and wall paper… the cozy room is an invitation of relaxation and leisure.
After checking in, in England you do as the English, you order a 5 o’clock tea with a large teapot, scones and cream, various sandwiches and patisseries… Yummy..
After tea, a walk in the fields will clear your mind ( take an umbrella, raining is not optional in the pack…) and prepare yourself for the time you will spend in the pub, as it is a tradition to get there early and enjoy the evening amongst friends, drinking pints of beer or shandy ( beer and lemonade).
Contrarily to what people say, English food is amazing, and you MUST try an English roast, served with yorkshire pudding, roast potatos and tasty gravy sauce… Alternatively, you can try fish and chips or a cottage pie (my favorite)…..
Most pubs in England close early and at 11 o’ clock, you will be sent back to a confortable night of sleep…
In the morning, another must is to try the famous English breakfast… Eggs, toasts, mushrooms, sausages, baked beans… Yes, it is a full meal… And it helps you recover from the hangover…
Now you are ready for the best… Shooting… Thr English love their hunt… They absolutely love wonder through the fields being followed by their dogs, searching for their next meal… If this sounds a bit too much for the non English, you can still do it with clay dishes in the air… It is a lot of fun realising how useless you are having to think so quickly and reacting to it…

After the fresh air and the exercise I suggest some spa time… A swim or some Jacuzzi will do you wonders in prep for the pub night ahead…
Some horse ridding is also an alternative to the shooting and in the countryside it is quite easy to find centres where to take a ride…
As you can see, a weekend in the English countryside can be intense and full of new experiences… I strongly recommend you try, and I am sure the photos will speak for themselves…
