This is a tip for those who wish a last minute gift, which is chique and does not break your pocket.

Do you know that Louis Vuitton makes other things rather than only bags and clothes? As you may know, Louis Vuitton started in 1854, in Paris, making travel luggage, those big trunks which the nobles of the time used to carry their clothes and hats. With time the brand has diversified and today is one of the most expensive and luxurious brands in the planet, worth more that 30 Billion dollars.

A few years ago Louis Vuitton decided to produce travel guides. The purpose was to get locals to tell visitors their recommendations and the “it places” to visit… you know those places that only locals know and tourists never make it… The project was to edited a few cities per year with recommendations of restaurants, hotels, coffee shops, shopping places, art galleries, museums and the trendy places of the year. The guides would be updated annually so that the trendy places would be also edited to include the new and remove the old ones.

The Project is so successful that today you have a few dozen cities, which you can buy the guide individually, a luxurious box with the most important cities in the world and Louis Vuitton has just launched an application with the travel guides for  iPhones.  Exquisite!!! I have many of the individual guides… I absolutely love them! Have tried many different restaurants and places and never regretted. The Paris one is an absolute must!!!!
